What is PII?
The Personal Insight Inventory (PII) uses a short word-association survey to provide a profile of an individual’s behavioral preferences, expectations and emotional needs. We then apply proven color theory to identify patterns of responses.

What is OPII?
The Organizational Practices Insight Inventory (OPII) provides insight into the perceptions a leader has of their organization’s behavior, expectations and values. We provide a composite profile for a team of leaders or an organization to explore the level of alignment and effectiveness of the organization’s practices.

How do I take PII/OPII?
If you’d like to try it yourself, just click here or go to our home page and click on the Sign up as an individual, provide us with some basic information and we’ll send you the instructions to log in and complete the PII and/or OPII.

How long does it take to take PII/OPII?
Each survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and your results are immediately available to view or print.

How do I sign up my team?
If you would like to sign your team up to take one or both surveys, go to the Next Steps tab on our home page and select Schedule Your Team to provide us with some basic information. We’ll contact you and get your team started.

What if I can’t find my ID and/or password?
From the home page or login screen, click on the “Forgot your password?” link or email info@incolorinsight.com to request it.

I’m supposed to take the survey, but I don’t have a Login ID or password.
Your team leader or survey administrator should be able to provide you with the necessary information to complete the survey. If you are unable to get the information from them email info@incolorinsight.com.

Can I take PII/OPII at home?
You can take either survey from any anywhere you have internet access. You will need the invitation email with a link to create an account and complete the survey.

What if I’ve taken PII before?
If you have taken PII before, contact your team leader, adminstrator or fascilitator. They will let you know if your existing results can be used or if you will need to take the survey again.

How will PII/OPII information be used?
Your profile is primarily for you, to increase your level of awareness, gain insight into your organization’s practices and increase your understanding of how your behavior impacts others and how their behavior impacts. Your data is also accessible to your manager, for the purpose of supporting your individual development and achieving team alignment through increased awareness of individual differences and emotional doversity. The data is not shared with anyone else, though you may choose to share your profile, to build greater mutual respect and trust in vital relationships.

How is PII different from Meyers-Briggs and other profile instruments?
PII recognizes the value of Meyers-Briggs and other profiles, but offers additional depth: 1) by having 3 dimensions, it reflects more of the complexity of individual behavior, 2) by using proven color theory, it offers a more intuitive, everyday language and 3) it was developed by a highly experienced business leader and organizational psychologist.
